I so appreciate having you here and I do not take it for granted that you are tuning in and sharing this time with me.
My name is Jada and I have been an entrepreneur for around 15 years now, and I'm so passionate about supporting. Other women to create digital businesses that feel good and that work to support them, their family and their life, not the other way around. And really specializing in creating and growing digital offers and businesses.
Looking forward to diving into this week's episode where I'm going to [00:01:00] share a bit of a story that I hope will inspire you. Let's get into it. I wanna share with you how I went from a spark of an idea, a spark of a business idea, all the way through to having my first paid clients come into an offer within three months, and how that is possible for you to.
A little bit of story time, and it's one that I hope inspires you and also shares the power of building some very specific skills and the potential that those skills bring you. Uh, so let's start back, back in July, June, June, July, 2020. We all know what was going on in the world at that time. [00:02:00] And at that time I was the CEO and marketing manager of our family business, a Latin dance studio in Brisbane, Australia.
And it was tough times. If you think about Latin dancing, which is all about embracing a partner and moving together right in the middle of 2020, you can imagine business was pretty tough. We'd have had to make some pretty big changes from about March that year, and I was exhausted. I was completely exhausted.
Before that point, I was already wanting to move myself out of that business because really I had come into that business to, uh, support changes and to help it to survive really. And I had been, had [00:03:00] stayed there long past the point that was truly healthy for me out of feeling. A, a big sense of, uh, what's the right word?
Responsibility in supporting our family business, supporting our family. But I knew that I needed to move out for my own wellbeing, for my health, and really to put my marriage and my family before the business so that. That factor was removed out of some of the challenges. So I was already in a place before 2020 where I was wanting to move out of that business.
Then 2020 came along and created all sorts of extra issues with the business, making it feel even more difficult for me to step out of that business and leave it back with my husband and the team. So there was a lot going on and I [00:04:00] wasn't getting a lot of opportunity to have any real space to think about or feel into what I could be doing.
Instead, I knew that I needed to move out of the business for my own wellbeing and the flow on effects of that, and I knew that I had a lot of skills and I knew that I wanted to do something else, and I wanted to create my own business. But I didn't know what I could be doing, and as I said, I really didn't have the energy or the mind width, breath, energy, any of the things to really take any time to figure that out.
I was so busy being busy in my life and trying to save a bricks and mortar dance studio business in the middle of 2020. So in around June July, I actually did a silver method [00:05:00] meditation and my husband was doing a course on it, and I actually only listened, I think, to the first three days. And one of those meditations was around really vividly picturing a challenge.
That you are facing or something you don't know how to solve, and then kind of sending it out into the universe and then going off to sleep. And when I did that. What I pictured was this challenge around really wanting to step out of the current business and move into my own direction, but not knowing what I could go out and do as my own thing, moving into what would be running my third business.
So I sent that out to the universe. I went to sleep and an idea came to me, a spark of an idea to create a program. Of course, a membership, some way [00:06:00] of supporting other women to create a powerful morning routine or practice that would help them to feel better, have more energy, fill their own cup, do those success habits that they were wanting to be doing.
And weren't finding time for help other women to become earlier morning people, because this had been a big journey that I had been on for about two years leading up to that point. And it had been really, really challenging. 'cause I'd always been a night owl, a major night owl. And it was a huge shift to move into getting up earlier, to create space and time for myself in the morning so that I could feel and feel myself in the mornings before I went into the days.
And it'd been something that I'd been working on for about two years. And so the idea came to me to create some kind of support for other women who might be struggling with the same thing. [00:07:00] And so I had the first idea, thought about it a little bit and went, you know what? I'm going to go with this. I'm gonna go with this idea and I'm gonna create somehow to some way of supporting other women to do this.
And I decided that I would get started with a course and what allowed me to go from having that original spark of an idea. About July of 2020 to having my first paid clients come into my first course within three months was knowing how to live launch, and it's in part why I am so passionate about.
Supporting women to learn these skills in a way that is a best match for them and for their offers and their business and their [00:08:00] ideal life. To create digital offers and digital businesses and ways to attract people in to those offers because when we're able to do that, we can create new things.
Literally we can have an idea and we can put a new offer out into the world even faster really. But within three months from literal spark of an idea through to having paid customers joining us. And how incredible is that? How freedom filled is that? How. Amazing to be able to bring our creativity to life when we know the structures, the systems, the strategies, and we have the skills that are replicable across different offerings to be able to do that, and the reason I was able to do that within such a short amount of time, literally from idea, so [00:09:00] not just like a small audience, but no audience.
I had to. Uh, start an Instagram account, start a Facebook page for this business, and then I needed to start building an audience and building an email list. And so within three months, I had almost 200 people on my email list. I cannot remember how big my social media account was, but it wasn't the main way I was focusing on getting people in.
I was running Facebook ads. Um, to build into a live event, which was a five day bootcamp, and using that to then promote into my course. So because I had background in creating curriculum. Having been a Latin dance instructor and then the curriculum coordinator, and instructors coordinator, and moving through that business and learning all about marketing [00:10:00] and then learning a lot about video marketing and uh, customer journeys.
Through that service based business retention, all of the different aspects I had previously had an events business. So bringing all of those, that knowledge and those skills, uh, our dance studio literally launches without an event, but just launches directly or sells straight into, which requires a whole buildup and funnel and pathway and customer journey into courses every five weeks.
So bringing all of my previous knowledge. Around being able to launch and promote into and have a customer journey towards a program where it is one too many allowed me to not just start the business, but actually have income coming into that business within that three months. So I just want you to take a moment and imagine what becomes possible for you when [00:11:00] you don't just learn the surface level of the strategies.
But you know them so deeply that you can. Personalize them and match them to any idea and offering that you have any time that you want to pivot in your business or start from scratch or put a new offer out there or the next time that you want to open your doors or when you are ready to scale. Uh, and really go into those bigger numbers where you're going from welcoming a handful or a few handfuls of people into your offers, to being able to then move into welcoming, you know, 50, 60, a hundred, a few hundred people into your offerings.
They are the skills that you can develop and repeatedly use to start. Create new offers or scale. And [00:12:00] yeah, as I said, this is part of my passion is because I know how impactful these skills are, but only when they're taken beyond that base understanding of learning. Yes. Okay. What are all the moving path to do, say a live launch, uh, but then how.
Do you personalize them to your offering? How do you choose what kind of live event to run? How do you decide whether you're going to do organic only marketing or whether you're going to put that out into paid advertising through Facebook ads or when it is best to focus on collaborating with other people so that you're doing a launch and leveraging from other people's?
Audiences or when to when and how to focus on growing your email list. Should that be through a lead magnet first or straight into a live event? You know, what are those different ways that you can go [00:13:00] about kind of achieving the same outcome? And which of those options and which of those strategies and structures is going to best suit your offering, where you are at and where you want to go.
And so learning these skills beyond the base level means that you can utilize them to grow your business, to pivot, to expand, to bring out those new offers, and it's so incredibly powerful and it's why I really want to help you to learn these skills and make sure that they are. Becoming mastered because when you master them, that's when you can use them in lots of different ways.
So I just wanted to share that story with you in the hopes that it inspires you. If you have been thinking about starting a new digital business, for example, or bringing out a new [00:14:00] digital offer or going in a new direction. Or if you are in a place, or have been in a place where you have felt stuck and like you knew you wanna be doing something different, maybe you are in a nine to five job, you're employed.
Maybe you're in a business that you don't want to be in anymore, and you feel stuck and you're not sure about how to even go about or even what to do. So even to that degree, I hope that this inspires in some way that you can start to make moves even without knowing what the outcome is going to be.
Because fast forward a number of years, the road was certainly not straight, not by any stretch of the imagination. I ended up pausing. That business. After building it up for almost six months [00:15:00] and taking about six months to, I would say, extricate myself from our family business, which took just about everything out of me when I then decided to take on a part-time job while I renovated and managed, managed renovating our house.
So I went into a job, and for that time that was perfect, but it wasn't too long before my feet started to itch because I am an entrepreneur to my core, and I know that my path is owning my own business, being an entrepreneur. So after I had recouped energy and settled myself and given myself some space, I was able to come back into.
My own business and rekick off that rise and shine early morning. Morning routine support, reimagine it. Look at how I could start to grow it, and again, start there. I still didn't know [00:16:00] exactly where it was going to go. I always had an inkling right from 2020 ish when I decided I really did need to go in my own direction, that somewhere along the way I would end up.
Doing something around using my strategy and my business skills and supporting other people with that. I always knew I would, but it's not where I started. And so even since coming back into my own business space from, let's see, what year, 2020. Three. I've still gone in lots of different directions and I have completely shifted to a new beginning in a new direction.
Again, throughout that time and every time these skills have served me so incredibly well, so. Sharing that, yes, these skills allow you to restart, to start to scale, to [00:17:00] grow, and to inspire you that you don't have to know exactly where you're going to get started, that you can get started quickly. When you know how to do it and if you don't know how to do that, that is exactly what I support my clients with.
I specialize in helping women to design, develop, and grow digital offerings and digital businesses in a highly strategic way that is holistically aligning the structures and strategies. To each woman I work with and how they function best, their particular offers, who they want to serve and how they want to be living life so that all of my knowledge can be funneled into each of my private clients to support them in creating the digital business that is most aligned with them.
So yes, sometimes, [00:18:00] you know what I wonder, will my story. Mean anything, should I really share that story? I've double, double, triple questioned myself about that multiple times when I've thought about sharing this story. But what I know to be true is that our stories do help others. And so I'm sharing this little tiny part of mine in the hopes that you take some piece of gold out of it.
And I hope that you'll come and share with me what piece of gold or what little trigger it might have given you, because I would really love to hear if and how this episode has supported you or inspired you or given you a little spark or reminder. And if you are in that space of wanting to create your first digital offer.
Reach out and let's have a chat because I can support you to do that in a faster, more aligned, more quickly, profitable way. [00:19:00] That's what I specialize in. And if you are in a place where you wanna bring a new offer to life. Even if you've got other digital offers, that is also something I can support you with.
Or if you are in a place where you want to really grow and scale your current digital offer and you've got a good number of people in there, uh, but it's really not growing at the pace you'd like it to. Or you really wanna make sure that you set up structures and strategies to be able to grow it, not just faster and effectively with more profit, but also with more ease and more alignment.
Then that is also something I can help you with. So I look forward to hearing from you and to sharing more with you next week. Stay aligned and keep on thriving. Bye for now.
